Note from the makers:

“Wash gently with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly. Handwash only. Do not soak. Do not microwave”

If you are wondering why, it is because the Gold decorations might be less over time when washed with dishwasher detergent. The Gold paint contains metal, ofcourse, and we all know metal does not go into the microwave. Hope this helped to keep this great pot shiney and new for years to come.
